The new Cargo E4 series from BT provides performance, safety, and reliability in one advanced package. Adaptable performance and active safety come as standard.
The E4 is a high performance counterbalance truck in every respect, designed to be responsive and intuitive in operation—what BT calls Man performance. For Machine performance, underneath the E4’s highly ergonomic cabin its twin 6kW drive motors and 12kW lift motor are standard equipment.
The user chooses how much of that available power he needs via the forklift truck’s advanced on-board electronics and its choice of three user performance settings. Add in the choice of three types of direction control and three types of fork control to get M3 Performance.
The E4’s new fully adjustable seat and optional armrest—featuring either fingertip levers or mini-joysticks—offer the highest levels of comfort and secure, precise control. As an alternative to the armrest controls, hydraulic levers are standard.
The new Operator Smart Control (OSC) multifunction dashboard features a graphical display and simple menu-based operation. It only displays what is relevant, eg, speed is not given if the truck is stationary or ‘inching’ but the rear wheel direction indicator will be shown, for maximum clarity and speed of operation.
BT Safetronix is the comprehensive safety system at the heart of all Cargo E4 series forklift trucks: speed reduction on cornering, Active STOP braking, an automatic parking brake, and the CBM (Counterbalance Management) system all combine to make the E4 a class-leader in forklift truck safety.
The Cargo E4 counterbalance truck will automatically reduce drive power depending on its speed and the angle of the steered wheels. This is an intelligent, proportional system that maximises both safety and productivity.
Cargo E4’s AC drive motor provides a regenerative braking effect as soon as the accelerator is released. Active STOP is an added level of safety. Half a second after the truck comes to a stop the mechanical brakes are automatically activated. This time delay has been programmed to provide the best balance of safety and smoothness in operation. Having the truck fully braked ensures that lifting operations are as safe as possible. Operation on ramps also benefits from this added level of security.
And reliability is guaranteed—E4 series trucks on full BT Service contracts or long-term BT Rental have guaranteed availability. BT agrees the level of availability required by your operation and guarantees to deliver it.
The E4 offers a choice of three and four wheel chassis, capacities from 1200 to 2000 kilograms, and lift heights up to seven metres, plus a choice of fork and direction control systems to suit each application.
