BT introduces new Stratos rider-seated powered pallet truck for intensive operations

Effective storage and handling of goods can demand the most extreme types of equipment. Sometimes lift height is the key issue. At other times the main requirement may be flexibility. However, in certain applications the simple focus is to move the maximum amount of goods from A to B at maximum speed—and that is where BT’s new Stratos LRE high-speed rider-seated powered pallet trucks come into their own.

With a lift capacity of 3000 kilograms and fork length of up to 3590 mm available, the Stratos LRE300 and LRE300T are readily equipped to transport multiple loads over long distances at high speed.
The cabin is comfortable for the operator, with seat, pedals, and steering wheel all adjustable. Performance parameters can be selected from a range of pre-programmed choices. Up to 100 PIN codes are available for secure access control, restricting operation to authorised personnel.

The Stratos LRE also has efficiency built-in. When the operator releases the accelerator, applies the brake, or changes the truck’s direction, energy can be regenerated back to the battery by automatically applied motor braking. This parameter can also be configured to suit each user.
For added safety and productivity, the parking brake is also automatically applied whenever the truck is stationery, automatically releasing as soon as the accelerator is depressed. This means that the operator never has to worry about applying and releasing the brake in busy stop/start driving conditions.

The Stratos LRE also features the E-bar—the universal mount for warehouse management devices such as PCs, radio-data terminals, and bar-code readers—found on BT’s Reflex B and E-series reach trucks. The LRE300 has a maximum unladen speed of more than 15 km/h; the LRE300T, with its twin motor, achieves almost 20 km/h.
