Semi-automatic trucks

Many companies can benefit from automation within the handling process. BT’s offers several unique concepts like the Autopilot and the BT Radioshuttle.

Autopilot
This allows simple driverless operation for repetitive movement of goods. Easy to install and easy to modify, BT Autopilot increases efficiency and saves money.

Laser guidance and Teach-In technology offer users a simple system with flexibility, resulting in a cost-effective solution to repetitive long-distance materials handling needs. Autopilot trucks are ideal for manufacturing applications in which similar journeys are made repetitively, for example, delivery of goods between production lines and storage areas, or between conveyor systems. This frees-up expensive human resources for more demanding tasks. Multi-shift applications in particular will benefit from considerable cost savings.

BT Radioshuttle
BT offers a radical solution for high-density bulk storage of goods. It is particularly suited to applications in which relatively few order lines are carried, and allows extremely cost-effective use of expensive warehouse space—ideal for temperature-controlled stores.

The system is based upon the BT Radioshuttle—an electrically powered load carrier that transports goods in and out of storage tunnels within specially designed racking. The system is suitable for both first-in first-out (FIFO), and first-in last-out (FILO) operations.  There is a range of units for different pallet sizes, including a combi version that can accommodate two different pallet sizes. Maximum capacity per pallet is either 1000 or 1500 kilograms.
